„I have led the civic association SME SPOLU and the charity fund Ukraine-Slovakia SOS since their foundation in 2015. In our work I value that Man is the measure of all things.“

„My task is to ensure the school functions successfully, and each of its participants, no matter if a teacher, a student, a caring mother or junior staff, are happy and comfortable in school. I joined the project USE in April 2022, and I sincerely rejoice at the possibility to help Ukrainian children adapt in a new country and environment, as well as find friends and support here.“

„I joined the organization in February 2022, but even before I have been the administrator of the Facebook group “Українці в Словаччині” (“Ukrainians in Slovakia”). My department is Social media and information. What I like in my job most of all is the creation of a space where people can reach out with their requests, experience or problems, and receive answers and support. I feel very lucky to have become a part of this wonderful team of people great in heart.“

„I started working in SME SPOLU as a volunteer from the earliest days of the full-scale invasion. I assisted with accommodation search, with collection of humanitarian aid and with coordination of the volunteers at the border. Since April I am working as a coordinator of various events that take place in the Ukrainian and Slovak House. During this time, I discovered I have a great desire and strength to help our Ukrainian community to adapt in new conditions and to find the strength to create, meet new people, communicate, grow and learn.“

„I am a salesperson and a cook by profession. I am working in the Ukrainian and Slovak House since April 1 2022. I am inspired by Slovakia, its magical nature and the beautiful places of Bratislava. In my work most of all I like our team and the interesting activity of the Ukrainian and Slovak House.“
